Itay Gross is an Israeli cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He holds an MFA in Cinematography from AFI in Los Angeles, as well as a BFA in Film & TV Production and Art and Public Policy from NYU Tisch. Between 2003-Present Itay worked in the US and Israel as a DP and camera operator for prime time network TV shows for companies such as HBO and NBC, features, documentaries, commercials and music videos. Itay is a union Director of Photography of the Israeli Association of Cinema and Television (ACT).
In 2010, SECULAR QUARTER #3, a Sci-Fi short Itay shot, was the Winner at the “Jerusalem International 2111 VFX Competition” and was noted by Wired.com, Reuters, CNN and more.
EXCISION, a drama-horror feature Itay shot in summer 2011, starring Annalynn McCord, Tracy Lords, John Waters, Ariel Winter, Roger Bart, Malcolm McDowell and more, has premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2012.
Itay just finished principle photography on MARZIPAN FLOWERS, a drama feature that was shot in Israel and will come out in 2013.
Itay’s work has been displayed at festivals both in the US and worldwide.
He lives and works in Los Angeles.
